Cubesat Hardware-in-the-loop Simulator
Blue Origin and Stanford Spacecraft Design Laboratory
In a joint Blue Origin/Stanford capstone project, sponsored by Blue Origin, I worked with a small team to develop CubeSat mission aimed at identifying, targeting, attaching to, and deorbiting an inactive, uncooperative satellite in Amazon's Kuiper Constellation.
I collaborated closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to develop a hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) simulator aimed at verifying and validating the performance requirements of the attitude determination and control subsystem (ADCS). The initial goal of this project was to build a simulator that could interface with ADCS hardware for component-level validation. Ultimately, we utilized this simulator to run system-level tests on the fully assembled and integrated CubeSat for requirements verification.
